Hi I'm Rachael! I'm a Texas native living near Boston with my Husband, Pup named Hailee Jo, and Kitten named Chewie.

I started blog so I could share what I love: fashion, crafting, and food! I have a serious obsession with shoes, sparkles, patent leather, cupcakes, pearls and lace, salted caramel, and goat cheese. I love mixing old and new together whether that's decorating, an outfit, or revamping a tried and true recipe.

Whats in a name? My best friend has called me Rachie Cakes, or just Cakes, for as long as I've known her. Considering my love of cupcakes (and all sweets for that matter), I thought it was only appropriate to name this after my favorite nickname!
